Hedera unveils Agent Accounts—a non-custodial, programmable spending layer for AI agents on Hedera. Each agent gets its own on-chain, rule-bound budget; transactions are executed only when policies are met, with private keys never exposed. Features include daily/per-transaction limits, allowlists, and tamper-proof audit trails via Hedera Consensus Service. Access starts on testnet in Q4 2025 (limited), public testnet in Q1 2026, with mainnet aim in Q2 2026. Supports HBAR, USDC, and other Hedera tokens.
