Atomic Batch Transactions No Longer Support Smart Contract Calls

Hedera will phase out smart contract calls inside atomic batch transactions. Starting Sep 2026, batches may include at most one smart contract call as the final inner transaction; by Mar 2027, inner calls in atomic batches are fully removed. Developers should audit batch workloads and migrate contract logic to in-contract composition, use Hedera system contracts for native ops, or submit sequential transactions. This aligns with HIP-551 and moves toward full EVM compatibility, with ongoing guidance via Hedera docs and Discord.
